Missions Pulse, 025: Lindy-Ann Hopley

All of life comes down to an understanding of who we are and Whose we are. There are so many people waiting for a certain thing before they step out of the boat. But we should be like Peter who wasn’t about to miss an opportunity to experience God’s miracle-working power. And He is a […]

Missions Pulse 23: Andrew Cannon

The truth is the truth. It is abrasive. It goes against the grain. But if we unwittingly let the environment change the truth, the truth will set no one free. On the flipside, the more you yield to the influence of God’s Kingdom, the easier it is to deviate from the adverse currents of popular […]

Missions Pulse 22: Matthew Ellison

It’s easy to become dismayed at the state of the Church’s missions interest. In many ways, we have taken the final command of Jesus—the Great Commission—and marginalized it by our lack of obedience. We push the things that are dear to God’s heart to the fringes of our lives. But there is always a remnant—passionate […]

Did God create us to thrive on mission with Him? Why do we so often feel like we’re barely surviving in our missional callings? In this episode […]

God has made a beautiful mosaic of over 17,000 people groups each with the ability to glorify Him in a unique way. The problem: worship does not arise from among tens of thousands of these tribes. In fact, There are more people alive today who don’t know Christ than in any other time in history. […]

Missions Pulse 19: J. D. Payne

Church planting is not just about gathering new communities of people who are already Christians. In the book of Acts, church plants begin with sharing the Gospel. Missions Pulse 18: Jean-Luc Trachsel

You’ve heard the rhetoric for years. They say that Europe is a post-Christian society; that the Great Awakenings of the past are just that: a historical phenomenon. So where does that leave us today? Can God do today what He did historically in Europe? If yes, then will He? What is our role to play […]

Missions Pulse 17: David Jacob

Have you ever felt like your prayers are just bouncing off the ceiling? You can’t get the answer you’re looking for? Chances are, you’re not alone. Far too often, we look for the “what” and forget about the “Who.” Understanding God’s call on your life begins with knowing God. The more intimate your relationship with […]

Missions Pulse 16: Andrea Di Meglio

“When people talk to God, we call that prayer. If we tell others that God speaks to us, they call us crazy.” Andrea di Meglio, executive producer of Christ in You – The Voice, has a good point. It’s almost as if we don’t expect God to answer back. So the question remains: Does God […]

Missions Pulse 11: Gabriel Jackson

Romans 12:4-8 tells us that every member of the body of Christ has a unique and pivotal role to play in spreading abroad the grace and glory of God’s Kingdom. Why is it, then, that many Christians feel that Christian outreach is only the role of the chosen few? In this episode of Missions Pulse, […]

Missions Pulse 10: Nik Ripken

Nik Ripken, author The Insanity of God, wrote, “One of the most accurate ways to detect and measure the activity of God is to note the amount of opposition that is present.” Could persecution actually be good soil in which the Church experiences tremendous growth? The Global South is a term that refers to what may also be called the “Developing World” (i.e., Africa, Latin America, and the developing countries in Asia). Missions Pulse 4: Asian Rough Rider

In a missiological context, church planting may be defined as “initiating reproductive fellowships who reflect the kingdom of God in the world.” When this happens with rapid growth, it is generally known as a church planting movement or disciple making movement. In his book, Church Planting Movement, David Garrison defines a Church Planting Movement (CPM) […]

Missions Pulse 3: Craig Greenfield

The driving force of our conversation is based on Luke 4:18-19. The Message says it this way: God’s Spirit is on me; he’s chosen me to preach the message of good news to the poor, sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the burdened and battered […]

In the year 1900, these Western countries sent out 89% of all Christians missionaries while only 11% were sent from other parts of the world. The radical shift […]

Oftentimes, there seems to be a polarization between local outreach and global missions. This dichotomy can be a difficult hurdle for local churches, pastors, leaders, and believers to overcome.
